BARQ was founded after witnessing a recurring problem: organisations desperately needed skilled technical professionals, while talented individuals struggled to break through to the opportunities that matched their capabilities.
Traditional agencies were too slow and too transactional. Job platforms were noisy. Neither gave hiring teams real confidence in who they were bringing aboard.

Ethics & Anti-Corruption
We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for bribery, corruption, and improper payments. Our operations comply with the UK Bribery Act 2010, the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), and equivalent legislation across all jurisdictions in which we operate. All staff receive anti-corruption training.
Data Protection
BARQ processes personal data in accordance with EU GDPR and UK GDPR. We are prepared to sign Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) with all enterprise clients and partners. Our infrastructure uses EU-hosted databases, TLS encryption, and row-level security. Contact privacy@barq.com for a DPA.
Accessibility
We are targeting WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance across our platform, with keyboard navigation, sufficient colour contrast, screen reader support, and responsive design. An independent third-party accessibility audit is planned for Q4 2026.

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest. We use bcrypt password hashing, database-level row security policies, and restrict internal data access to authorised personnel only. Regular security reviews are conducted on our infrastructure and codebase.
